Team staff are now able to designate team community members as scorekeepers to score and videographers to stream and upload game videos — no staff role is required.
Coaches can designate a trusted team community member with scoring or streaming duties — freeing up time to focus on game day. For streaming teams, this reduces accidental streams by choosing a trusted videographer to capture your game.
For baseball and softball team staff, this means you no longer have to use one of your four staff spots for someone to keep score, and helps take one less thing off your to-do list by designating someone as a scorekeeper.
This update will not affect the default permissions. The baseball and softball default scoring permissions are set to staff, and the default videography permissions are set to confirmed members. For all other sports, the default for scoring and videography permissions are set to confirmed members.
- Open you team and tap on the Team tab.
- Under Team Staff, you will see Team Permissions
- There are two choices to set permissions, tap on the permission you wish to set.
- Videographers - selected users can start live video streams for the team
- Scorekeepers - can keep score for games already on the team schedule.
- Permissions options include:
- All Confirmed Members - Taping on this permission will allow all Confirmed members of a team to keep score or start a live video stream for events already scheduled.
- Only Selected Member - Only those users who have been selected by Staff members have permission to keep score or start live video streams for events on the team calendar.
- If using Only Selected Members, staff will then have a list of users who are eligible to perform the selected permission.
- After selecting the users then tap Save to save your selection of users.
Notes:
Staff will still need to add events to the team calendar, scorekeepers and videographers can not add new events.
