Available on web.gc.com, baseball and softball staff members can generate an optimized lineup by selecting Generate Best Lineup. These recommendations use GameChanger performance data and sabermetric principles to suggest batting orders and defensive positions designed to maximize team performance.

The system locks in key positions like pitcher and catcher, then builds a batting order around your strongest hitters by balancing on-base ability, power, and speed. It also accounts for playing time and recent performance, filling remaining defensive positions with the most experienced players to create a well-rounded lineup backed by your team’s real stats.

In order to use the lineup recommendation tool, you will need to have at least one scored game on your team's schedule. 

Using the Lineup Recommendation Tool in the App

To generate the best lineup for your game in the app:

1. From your team's schedule, tap the next game or scrimmage.
2. Select Set Starting Lineup.
3. Choose the Auto-generate lineup option.
4. Set your Lineup quantity.

5. Adjust the Player availability if necessary. 

   Player availability is automatically pulled from the player's RSVP status for that event.  You can choose to manually exclude players for injury or other reasons as well. 

6. (Optional) Set your Starting pitcher.
7. Hit Generate lineup at the bottom.
8. Review the suggested lineup and hit Save when it is ready.

Using the Lineup Recommendation Tool on the Web

To generate the best lineup for your game on the web:

1. Log into web.gc.com with your Staff account. 
2. Click your team.
3. Navigate to the Schedule tab.
4. Select the Starting Lineup tab.
5. Press the Generate best lineup button.
6. Click Save Lineup in the top right corner.
