GameChanger allows you to stream with Mevo, GoPro, XbotGo and other camera models that support RTMP(S). Follow these detailed instructions to get started.
Yes, GameChanger now allows insecure ingest from devices that can only stream with RTMP. Please see our Live Stream From An External Camera (Insecure) support article for more information.
If you're using an external camera to stream on GameChanger, you must start and stop the recording from the external camera's app. Detailed instructions can be found here.
You can score on the same streaming device depending on a few factors. Mevo has a detailed support article that outlines when you are able to do this.
If you're on an iOS device and using the Mevo hotspot to connect to the internet, you'll have to keep the Mevo app foregrounded at all times to maintain the connection. This means you won't be able to score on GameChanger and maintain your stream using just one device.
Yes, the scoreboard will show up for the live-stream viewers if the game is being scored.
We recommend that you connect your external camera to the internet via a stable Wi-Fi connection or a dedicated mobile hotspot.
Yes, most external cameras offer the ability to stream in a range of resolutions. Please note that streaming at higher resolutions will impact the stability of your stream. If you experience slowness or drops in connection, we recommend dropping down your resolution.
GameChanger supports a maximum streaming resolution of 1080p for external cameras.
Even if your camera supports higher resolutions, select 1080p or lower. If you stream above 1080p, GameChanger will not broadcast or record the video.
Yes, if you have an SD card, you can stream to GameChanger and save to your external camera at the same time.
You can mute the stream with a Mevo camera, but not with a GoPro. GoPro recommends plugging in a mic adaptor but not connecting a mic.
Mevo cameras allow you to zoom, but GoPro cameras do not.
When streaming directly through the GameChanger app, only one camera angle can be broadcast to a game or event at a time.
Mevo is currently the only camera with a direct integration between its app, Mevo Studio, and GameChanger that allows you to stream using multiple cameras. With Mevo Studio, you can connect multiple cameras to provide different angles during your broadcast. While streaming with Mevo Studio, you'll need to manually switch between connected cameras to choose which angle viewers see. Camera angles will not automatically change during the broadcast.
Some GameChanger-managed fixed installation cameras also use multiple camera angles. These systems can automatically switch camera angles using AI detection from the main camera, such as when a pitch is detected. This functionality is specific to supported GameChanger-managed fixed installation camera systems and is not available when streaming directly through the GameChanger app or Mevo Studio.

HDR video is not currently supported on GameChanger. For the best streaming experience, we recommend recording and uploading videos in standard dynamic range (SDR)
