In the GameChanger app, a Confirmed Member on a team is someone who is a Family contact or a Player contact of a player on the team. These contacts can be added directly by Team Staff or other Family or Player contacts of the team. Alternatively, a user can request to become a Member of the team by claiming to be a Family member or the Player themselves.

Requesting Membership to a Team You Follow
To request to be a Family or Player contact of a player of a team on your account, and thus become a Confirmed Member of a team, follow these steps:
- Open the app.
- Tap the Home tab and tap the team your player is on.
- Tap on the Team tab and then the Players toggle within that tab.
- Tap on the Player.
- Tap Contacts.
- Tap Claim Player As Myself or Request to be Family, depending on your relationship with the player.
A request will be sent to the current Team Staff or any existing Family or Player contacts for that player. Once they approve the request, you will see your name added under the section you requested for that player.
Note: The "Claim Player As Myself" option will not appear for teams that are 13U or lower.
Approving Membership (Team Staff, Family, Players)
Team Staff and existing Family/Players in the app will need to approve any membership requests before the requester is able to access team content. Requests can be approved via the following steps:
- Team Staff or existing contacts will see any membership request notifications in the Home tab of the app.
- Scroll through your teams, and tap the one with the notification bubble.
- Tap on the Team tab.
- Approve or reject the request.
