GameChanger can automatically create at-bat video clips from baseball and softball games streamed without scorekeeping. Using computer vision, GameChanger analyzes the game video to identify at-bats and turn them into clips you can watch, download, and share.
Viewing these clips is currently available on iOS only and requires Premium access for non-Staff accounts.
Generating Clips Without Scorekeeping
GameChanger creates at-bat clips when a baseball or softball game is:
- Streamed for at least 15 minutes
- Streamed without any scorekeeping
Clips are typically ready within 10 minutes after the stream ends. You'll receive a notification when they're available.
Do not tap Score Game or Set Lineup if you want clips generated without scorekeeping. Starting any form of scorekeeping prevents clips from being generated for that game.
For automatic clips with scorekeeping, the game must be scored in real time while it is streamed.
Clip Contents
Each clip shows a single at-bat. Clips do not include:
- The player's name
- Which team is batting
- The inning
- The result of the play, such as a hit, walk, or out
- Separate clips for pickoffs or stolen bases
At-bats that end in a strikeout may appear, but they will not be labeled or organized as strikeout clips.
View, Share, and Download Clips
Clips follow the same subscription, viewing, sharing, and downloading rules as other GameChanger video clips.
In-app editing is not available for these clips. To trim a clip, download it to your device and use your device's video editing tools.
Troubleshoot Missing Clips
Clips without scorekeeping will not be generated if:
- The stream lasted less than 15 minutes
- Any scorekeeping was started, including tapping Score Game to enter a lineup
If your stream met both requirements, allow one to four hours after the stream ends for clips to process, and watch for the notification.
Automatic detection may miss some at-bats or occasionally create clips that are shorter than expected.
