Users can now monitor the health of their network while broadcasting video. This will provide information on how well your stream is performing and tips for improvement.

Monitor Network Health in the GameChanger App

How it Works:
When broadcasting a live stream you will see an icon at the bottom right of the screen. You can use this value to determine how your live stream is performing.

There are two possible values:
Healthy - this indicates that your network connection is strong enough to keep up with the live stream.
Unhealthy - this indicates your network is congested and it may impact the quality of the live stream. This could lead to a poor viewing experience or cause the stream to drop. Archived videos and video clips could also be impacted in an unhealthy state. 

If you see the Unhealthy indicator, you can try the following things to troubleshoot the issue:

1. If you’re streaming at 720p, try restarting the broadcast with 480p quality. This can lessen the demand of your network. Learn how you can change stream quality here.
2. Try connecting to WiFi or a dedicated hotspot for a more stable connection

Monitoring Network Health in External Camera Apps

GoPro

GoPro users can monitor their Network Health using the Quik app when streaming through GameChanger.
After clicking the blue Go Live , users are taken to a screen with a Stream Health indicator bar.  This is an indication of the network signal strength between the GoPro and the RTMP destination.

Mevo

The Logitech Mevo app and Mevo Multicam app allow you to monitor the health of your stream during an event.

After starting your stream, click on the Red record button on the bottom left of the display screen.

After starting a live stream, click the down arrow box on the right side of the screen under the preview image.
