New Features This Year
Whether you are new or returning, here are some of the features that are new this year to improve your experience!
Cover Your Way
In basketball, you can choose how to best cover your game with the volunteers that you have available to you each game. With basketball's Cover Your Way, you can choose to stream and score simultaneously on one device, score with advanced statistics, score just the basics, or only live stream/record.
If you only have one volunteer, stream and score allows you to keep track of the essentials from one device. When you have more volunteers, you can have one one run the live stream while another scores. There are two different scoring options depending on the comfortability of your scorekeeper or statistical needs of your team.
Game Clock
GameChanger is proud to introduce a game clock for basketball games that you can run while streaming and scoring. This clock will appear on the stream for your viewers keeping them up with action by the second.
The basketball game clock is now available for games that use stream & score on one device or use simple scorekeeping.
Organization/Team Announcements
Announcements are a one-way communication tool that lets orgs and teams send important updates to their GameChanger communities. With Announcements, Organization Admins can message their teams without needing to join individual teams or use 3rd party apps. Similarly, team Staff can ensure updates are easily found rather than getting buried in busy team chat threads or external emails.
Team and Player Insights
Unlock deeper coaching feedback with the new Insights tab. Staff members can see game-changing stats, helping highlight the moments that mattered most.
Post-Game Play Editing
GameChanger makes it easy to adjust and correct any scoring errors or changes in your basketball game. Staff and designated scorekeepers can correct plays while they are scoring or edit plays at any time to ensure that scoring and statistics are accurate.
Improved RSVPs
Track attendance and plan practices and lineups easier with streamlined event RSVP options. Family and athletes can now RSVP to multiple events from the overall schedule view, without having to tap into each event individually.

Player Season Story
The Player Season Story is the Home tab on a basketball player's profile in the GameChanger app. It gathers a player's season into one place, so you can see how they're performing across the season and jump into the story of any individual game.
- Season averages — Per-game averages with season totals for Points, Rebounds, Assists, and Steals.
- Most recent game — A featured Player Game Story from the player's latest covered game, with the opponent, date, and final score.
- Season summary — Bullet-point insights about the player's season to date, with video where available.
- Game reels — Video reels from the player's individual games.

Player Game Stories
As part of the new Player Profile home tab, we have Player Game Stories. Teams have already had Game Recap Stories, giving a newspaper-quality recap of a completed game. The Player Game Story is that same experience, curated for one player: a recap written just for them, alongside their game reel, clips, box score, and insights. Every covered game gets one, so your player's performance gets its own headline every time they take the court.
Portrait Video Sharing (BETA)
GameChanger now has the ability to share your basketball clips in a vertical format for better compatibility with social media platforms. Vertical sharing reformats an existing landscape basketball clip into a 9:16 vertical clip, dynamically panning to follow the action!
Post-Game Insights
As a parent you can review insights after each game curated specifically for your player! Review the impactful moments and watch clips your player contributed to in each game they played in.
Live Activities (iOS)
Family and fans are able to follow games without even opening the app! With Live Activities on iPhone, real-time GameChanger scores will appear right on your lock screen — updating automatically throughout the game:
- See scores instantly from the lock screen
- Stay connected to the game from anywhere
- Follow along effortlessly, just like the pros
